The Valley Town- Elliott BROOD

Sounds Like: Little bit of bluegrass, little bit of folk; very Canadian.
Where to Listen:  Sunny day music. This song is a nice one when you are travelling because, whether or not you live in a valley town, it'll get you thinking of home.

In honour of Canada Day Long Weekend, here's another great song from a great Canadian band. I admit I am a total sucker for a banjo or a mandolin (and a fiddle, cello, harp...it goes on) and this song is responsible for adding ukulele to that list. This song is simply perfect. Two ukuleles, a bass drum, some other minor instruments, a pair or two of hands and some simple, gorgeous harmonies. They can really get the whole crowd dancing in concert, too- impressive for a folk/bluegrass band.
