Thanks to my favourite hip hop blog, Catchy Hip Hip, for leading me to this! I don't know how I ever missed this. In 2009 (apparently), Team Teamwork released this album of hip hop and Ocarina of Time mashups. Admittedly, I am a huge Zelda nerd and I love hip hop so this just feels like it was made for me. There are some seriously slick tracks on this record but something about this one by Slim Thug and Mike Jones just does it for me. Something about the song they chose to sample here with the harp and that echo effect at the chorus fits so well (unlike Dre and Snoop's sample of the Treasure Song which was sadly disappointing). If you want to nerd out in the coolest way possible, I recommend this song, Aesop Rock's sample of Goron Village, Jay-Z's Meeting the Owl and Clipse's Lost Woods.
